Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is very diverse. Students come from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. We are located near one of the largest and busiest shipping ports in the world. The students are very proud of their school and town.

The students in my class yearn to learn new things academically everyday.

They are an upbeat and energetic group of learners. They are hard workers who put forth their best effort. My students love coming to school and enjoy all subject areas!

My Project

At the end of all our writing units, students publish their final writing piece. With the Chromebooks, my students will be able to type and publish their finished writing pieces on Google Docs and print a hard copy to display their writing in our class. During social studies and science, students research various topics such as First Explorers and environments. They will be able to use the Chromebooks to do their research and create Google Slides presentations to present to their classmates. If they are working on a written research project, students will be able to find pictures to print to enhance their project.

This donation of Chromebooks, Chromebook storage sleeves, printer, and ink will enhance my students' learning in multiple subject areas.

It will also make my students more technology savvy which is an important aspect of being college and career ready. The storage sleeves will be used to store the Chromebooks when they are not being used. The ink will replenish our ink supply when it is low. The power strip surge protector will help us charge the Chromebooks simultaneously.
