My Project

My students come from a growing district of sometimes low income, sometimes English learning, sometimes a lot going on at home kind of backgrounds. They have come to me and picked out some books that they are interested in, and the school library does not carry.

These students have been through the wringer with COVID and all sorts of craziness in this city.

I cannot think of a better group of students that are more deserving of books that they have researched and picked out that they think will be engaging during Reader's Workshop. These books will make a difference in their reading by keeping them excited and motivated as well as letting them play a part in procuring their own reading materials!
