Early Childhood Special Education provides the opportunity to welcome young learners to school for the first time. It exposes children to a world much larger than they have experienced before.
The books and accompanying products are designed to show these young learners literature representative of themselves as well as those they will meet in the future.
Stories are essential to child development. Making sure that literature is diverse and representative creates connections and exposure to the world. Students can find characters that remind themselves of people they know while at the same time opening their minds to others.
