Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hello, I am currently working for a school in California where our majority of students come from African American and Hispanic families. Our school is a free public school, and the majority of our students come from low socioeconomic status. In addition, we are a Title I School which means that we provide free meal plans to support our families needs. My students are determined and spontaneous! They come to class ready to learn with enthusiasm and ready to take upon academic challenges.
With your support, all my students will receive classroom basics to help them continue learning!
My Project
The materials requested will benefit low income families. As we build momentum in our school year, there are some items we are running low and I want to ensure that with your donations my students will be able to continue learning. This project consist of individual hand sanitizer which is used daily as part of our routine. This has helped students feel safe as we continuously hand sanitize our hands. The hand sanitizing wipes will also be used to clean and wipe down surfaces such as students desk, chrome-books, and other objects. Post-it’s are used during trading activities where students provide their input as they annotate to build fluency and comprehension. The pencils, dry erase markers and pencil boxes will help students organize their personal items. I would like to support my students by replenishing classroom basics such as pencil boxes, post-its, dry erase markers, scissors, and pencils. With your support, they will be able to continue learning!
