Help me give my students a variety of incentives including toy cars, chapsticks, figurines, Little People, play dough, keychains, Squishmallows, pens, and kinetic sand.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with a large culturally and linguistically diverse group of amazing learners, which includes TK-2nd grade levels. Our classroom environment is warm, welcoming, and student-friendly. My students are an amazing group of individuals with various abilities. Our classroom is full of students who are ready to learn and put forth great effort.
The toy cars, Little People, chapsticks, figurines, keychains, play dough, Squishmallows, pens, and kinetic sand will serve as tangible rewards for good behavior, meeting learning goals, and participating actively in class.
They will motivate students to work towards specific achievements. By having a variety of options, it will allows us to cater to our students' individual preferences which will increase their engagement with our reward system. By offering these as rewards, it will create positive associations with good behavior and academic effort, encouraging students to repeat these actions.
