Durability is key in my classroom. I make file folders with picture symbols and even print out picture symbols specific to each student's needs. If I don't laminate these products then they rarely last more than a week.
My students are very hands-on.
Students with Autism learn best when they can practice skills with manipulatives, pictures, file folders, etc. However, sometimes these pictures or file folder pieces end up in their mouth, crumpled, or with snot on them.
My Project
For each assignment I re-create I will need to laminate. I will need a laminator so that I can start making durable assignments for my students. I will also have testing materials to laminate again. With this laminator I can start replenishing my classroom. The shredder will be used for the students confidential information. New paperwork will have to be created and the shredder will allow me to keep certain information private when I no longer need it.
On May 20 the tornado that ripped through Plaza Towers took our whole classroom.
This donation will allow me to create lasting assignments for my students. Please help support my effort to restock our classroom!
