My Project

In an elementary classroom, working with different medians helps students understand concepts.

One median is using different arts and crafts in all subject areas.

In Reading/Language Arts we use art supplies to craft "Biography Banners". These banners have different heritage themes based on the time of the year. Thus far this year, we have done Hispanic Heritage Month and Native American Heritage Month. In math, using colors to help identify different parts of an area model helps students understand which numbers go with each other. Finally, for science adding color to foldable notes helps make diagrams stand out.
