My students need replacement parts for their current Piper kits that have become broken and/or missing.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Colonna's classroom raised $180

My Students
Our school is a growing charter school that in 2016-2017 will expand from currently serving scholars in grades K-2 to K-3. Our population is made up of a diverse group of scholars from all over Davidson County in Nashville, Tennessee.
Each year, our scholars continue to shatter stereotypes by reading and performing in math above grade level.
They consistently exceed rigorous academic expectations and outperform neighboring schools and counties. They epitomize the theory that young brains are sponges: full of curiosity, tenacity, grit, an insatiable desire to learn, and the capacity to do so.
My Project
Our computer coding club has introduced computer science to 25 needy children in East Nashville. They have become infatuated with their computers. After learning how to build and program their very own computers, a few students have had pieces become broken and/or go missing. This project will fund those missing parts and make sure students have everything they need to get their computer working properly. This will ensure that their hard work over the last year does not go to waste. Their families are unable to afford these additional parts and do not have access to these specific materials elsewhere.
Each child had built their own computer using the Piper computer kit.
Now, they are using that computer to learn to code through Minecraft. During the building process, three students' materials were broken and/or lost. This project will replace the missing components of their computers: batteries, Raspberry Pis, and cords. With these final pieces, the students will be able to get their computers back up and running so that they can be utilized to their full advantage.
