This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The teachers and staff at our school our pushing our students toward greatness. Books are key to unlocking the students mind and imaginations. We have many favorite series in our library. Because the students avidly read these books, many are no longer repairable. They need to be replaced.

Our school has approximately 500 students attending it.

They are a various as the books in my library. They are attracted to the new books section and books that look new over any of the other books in the library. My goal is to put as many books in their hands as possible this year.

My Project

These books will be checked out each week. Many of the shelves for the popular books rarely have books on them. Students will be able to enjoy a book from a series that they enjoy, without a missing cover or missing pages. Students often ask me of books from these series, but I no longer have the copies due to the condition of the books. These books will be read and enjoyed for many years at our school.

Literacy is key to be successful in school.

As teachers, we strive to find that hook to get the kids interested in reading. These books have done just that...grabbed the children's attention. These donations will help keep children reading and moving in the right direction toward a brighter future.
