Replace Lost Items After a Pandemic and a Remodel!

Help me give my students letter building tools, bug counters, push pop fidgets, and a more organized classroom!

My Students

My students are enthusiastic and curious about everything, including the spider on the floor, the letter B, and how the pencil sharpener works. They come from more than eight different linguistic and cultural backgrounds and include students with special needs and students who have experienced trauma.

Many of my students' parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunties, and uncles have all attended our neighborhood school and you can feel love and a strong sense of community throughout the building.

Within our diverse school family, one of the things my students are most excited about is each other. They love to learn and play together and our school day is filled with giggles, questions, tinkering, dancing, and conversations. It is a joy and a privilege to get to learn and grow with these amazing humans every day.

My Project

This year I came back to a classroom full of boxes that someone else had packed. Our school was remodeled during the pandemic which was a gift and a challenge. Many items were lost or damaged and I'd love to replace them with new and better materials.

Hands on tools and an organized space are incredibly important for little learners.

The letter building pieces, letter stickers, and bug counters will stimulate their brains, exercise their fingers, and be super fun. The shelves and file boxes will help me organize myself and the learning space so I can find things again!
