Help me give my students an up to date MacBook Pro- so that we can engage virtually and in person without the system over heating and dropping the zoom.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic and very curious. They enjoy school and learning using all their senses. They are all learning English as a second language. My students attend school in the inner-city. The school is nestled among railroad tracks and factories. All of my students qualify for federally funded lunches. They have insufficient resources yet are the most generous.
My students are thirsty for knowledge.
They love to feel like scientists. They're fascinated with the life cycle of animals and plants. They are always ready to learn, and despite their shortcomings, they always try their very best.
My Project
I am requesting a Mac Book Pro to use with my students weather it be in person or remotely. This past year students and I met daily for 6 hours via zoom. It was a great learning experience for all.
It would of been easier if we had a Mac Book Pro.
I say this because the computer I currently have would often over heat and just turn off in the middle of lesson.
At first students didn't know what happened. They would often say to me "why did you leave us?" I had to explain that sometimes technology isn't perfect and that we all have to be patient. I want to be prepared for next year and use all the time in class instructing students and catching up.
