This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a mathematics teacher, I find it difficult to teach remotely without the proper tools. I'm in need of a whiteboard and white/erase markers to teach my students mathematical processes. It's difficult to verbally go through a mathematical process it needs to be seen to be fully understood.
My Project
We are adjusting to an entire new way of educating our students. Covid19 changed our everyday lives from one day to another. We were not prepared for this change. Teachers do not have the proper tools for an easy transition.
The whiteboard and markers will be utilized to do step by step mathematical problems.
We are currently working on systems of equations, and I do not have the technology to teach students the process. It has all been verbal thus far. The whiteboard and markers will be used to demonstrate the process which will be a million times easier for them to understand.
