Help me give my students the best learning outcome this year. An updated computer and drawing tablet will enable me to easily and effectively teach remote lessons.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Arias's classroom raised $700
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom will be full of eager-to-learn second graders, both in-person and remotely. I knew them as first-graders and they are spunky! Some are English language learners; some are students with disabilities; all are amazing!
Cultivating a growth mindset is extremely important in our classroom.
I have to get creative and find ways to make them each the center of their own learning universe, especially since so many of them are confused with what is happening in our world.
Guiding them into developing a growth mindset will help bring back some normalcy into their young lives. I know we're going to have a wonderful, productive year!
My Project
Working with a new laptop will allow my remote lessons run to smoothly. I'll be able to use the features that the borrowed laptop lacked, like better processing speed and update software. No longer will my student's learning be interrupt by a computer crashing or glitchy Zoom morning meetings, that they so much love.
The drawing pad will allow my students to better see and understand math strategies and writing steps directly on the screen.
They will also be able to see me draw and label diagrams, and annotate texts, during social studies and science lessons, just like we do in the classroom on the Smartboard. In the spring, I was using a small wipe-off dry erase board and that became very cumbersome and took valuable learning time away from my students.
Students deserve high-quality remote teaching. Updated technology can help me drive that. Having those tools will ensure that they do. Help me make it happen!
