The students in kindergarten in our school are as inquisitive as they are unique. Coming from a multitude of diverse backgrounds and individualized needs, our students are excited explorers and avid learners.
In kindergarten, we know that everyone has a different set of strengths, experiences, and needs that they bring to the table, both academically and personally.
We strive together to make growing, learning, and developing a tremendous experience for ourselves and for our peers. In order to ensure that each student thrives, we incorporate a variety of learning strategies, problem solving techniques, and diverse materials.
My Project
With schools moving to remote learning, having the right tools is more important than ever, both for students and for teachers and staff. The five teachers of the kindergarten team at our school are asking for laptop stands and ring lights to help us teach some of our youngest learners.
Every minute we are face-to-face with students online, through video calls and recorded lessons, is precious.
These tools allow us utilize that time more effectively and focus on what matters most, teaching and connecting with students.
The laptop stand will get rid of our improvised stands made of books and other miscellaneous items in favor of an adjustable stand that allows us to make quick and easy changes to what our students are seeing. The flexibility of adjustment, height and swiveling, means more time focused on student learning outcomes.
The ring light will help K team turn our home offices and spare bedrooms into inviting classrooms. The different settings will allow kinders to not only the learning materials but also their new teacher, which is so important to social-emotional learning for these new learners.
