This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are struggling emotionally. They are scared and don’t know what’s happening. Most of their parents have lost their jobs. I had to lend out my class laptops to my students so they could complete online assignments. It’s been a struggle for all of us.

My Project

These are indeed interesting times. Remote learning is what we are all doing now in America. These supplies will help my student’s emotional side. The watercolors will allow my students to create pictures or designs about their feeling and hopefully de-stress them. The geo boards are a great hands-on math manipulative to do while I’m teaching over the computer. All students can participate. My student can continue to use these materials even after our remote lessons are over. I’m so very grateful for DonorsChoose especially now in these unusual times!
