Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school serves Pre-K students who are eager to learn. Our students come from different backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. Most of them are English Language Learners who have been fully immersed to learn a new language. They speak different languages including English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, and Bengali.
My students are my inspiration!!
One of our goals is to prepare students for success in kindergarten. I believe that each child is capable of achieving anything in this world. It is certainly a goal of mine to learn and grow with my students. One of my hopes as an educator is to instill the love of learning in my students.
My Project
These supplies will help me make at-home learning kits for my students. We have been remote learning on and off since March. We were just in the classroom two days ago and told we were not going back. My students were heartbroken.
My students need these essential tools to continue to flourish and learn at home.
My students will use these materials to focus on and improve their language, writing, and math skills. They will be able to have a notebook to write their name. In addition, by using the markers and crayons they will naturally develop and strengthen their fine-motor skills.
