Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Many students in my classroom come in saying they have difficulty completing practice assignments at home because of lack of supplies and resources. My students are book-loving, avid readers and enthusiastic learners. My students lack hands-on materials and nutritious snacks.
I want to do everything I can to boost their efforts through these tough times.
My Project
The shelter in place in Los Angeles has negatively impacted the community I serve. Many of my families must seek assistance from community charities to provide for their children.
My students need a variety of snacks and writing utensils to continue to achieve In their academic journey.
I am confident that my students will be delighted to have snacks and writing utensils as they practice remote learning. I can visualize them smiling as I teach them in my virtual classroom. The materials I am requesting will go directly to the children in need.
