My Students
I am a special education teacher in ELA and Math for grades kindergarten through eighth grade. With this being said, I have many important visual resources and reference sheets that I use on a daily basis that requires differentiation amongst my various classes. Many of my students' do not have access to printers or copiers which is essential when teaching both ELA/Writing and Math. My students' are from families of low socioeconomic means and have access to getting it. Having a printer and copier at home makes resources immediate for my students and myself to achieve academic excellence while learning remotely. My students always put forth their best efforts to learn and most require various visuals, checklists, graphic organizers, sentence starters, discussion prompts, rubrics, and modeling techniques. By having a printer on-hand, I can help my students' achieve academic success while learning through this unprecedented time during a global pandemic. Thank You.
My Project
I am a teacher in Brooklyn, New York and love how my students' are trying their very best to learn remotely. I teach special education small group instruction to Kindergarten through 8th grade in ELA, writing, and math. With this being said, I had no time to get the essentials needed for remote learning. I am asking for a white board with expo markers so I could "model lessons" on video just like they received in the school building. With paper, markers, and crayons available to me, I can create colorful and meaningful lessons that peak the interests of my students.
