This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a 4th-grade teacher in West Hills, CA to an exceptional bunch of students. My class comes to school excited to learn and they openly accept the challenges of our day!
Our classroom is full of curiosity and discovery, much of which is fostered through books, discussion, and discovery.
Fourth grade is a year of self-exploration, individual growth, and lots of change. It is in 4th grade that students learn the foundation for a lifetime and the skills necessary to navigate the world around them.
My Project
As times force us to be flexible with our teaching style, most teachers agree authenticity of learning must never be compromised. With your support, I can add a set of 6 copies of the book Wonder to lend to students to engage in our novel study. These books will be distributed to students who cannot afford a copy of the novel study during this time of distance learning and financial hardship. These books, along with a digital novel study, will provide rigorous and meaningful learning for my students at home.
