Help me give my students great remote learning experiences with Nuts About Math Complete Sets, hands-on fractions and decimal packs, sight word journals, and more.

My Students

I teach a life skills special education class. I teach ten students in a self-contained classroom that have a variety of different disabilities that range from intellectual disability to autism, down syndrome, and visually impaired and physical disabilities.

They have great difficulty with reading, math, and writing and learn better through hands-on activities or books that are read to them or multi-sensory items.

Some of them are confined to a wheelchair all day. They also learn better by doing work tasks. Many of my students will complete high school and work in some type of supported employment. They will need on the job training skills.

My students do various jobs throughout the school ranging from making birthday posters for all of the students in the school to cleaning rooms and loading soda machines. We also make Easter baskets and other crafty items throughout the year for people to purchase.

My Project

Most of my students have health issues and will need to do remote learning for the '20-'21 school year. I need to purchase items that I can send home for them to complete. They will get math, reading, and science packets that will be sent home and done with parents or older siblings. They will also have their own packet of money to continue to practice money.

My students need hands-on learning.

They will receive money packets and fraction packets to help learn those skills.
