Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I'd like to make quality memory books for my students to commemorate their very first year of school. Students and parents will have a record of the student's growth over the year.
This project will give students a hard copy of their progress and experiences in this crucial year, versus a digital file that they may never see as they grow older.
Technology is wonderful, but it isn't the most accessible medium for young children. Parents are also less involved in school activities than they used to be, and this will give them a treasured keepsake to look back on as their child grows. I could use technology and create a digital album, but it's just not the same as having the actual artifact.
