Help me give my students a new collection of read alouds.
If there is one thing I'd like to pass on to them, it is a love of reading!
I feel it is so important to model reading to my 2nd-grade students every day. They love listening to stories and I love reading to them. Reading to them gives them a sense of what fluency is and how it should sound when you read. This is important in comprehension as well. I feel that reading to students may show them a type of book they are interested in and in turn, become lifelong readers themselves.
