Reliable Sound System Needed For Title 1 School Music Department
My students need 1 reliable working sound system. When we have events/performances, we have to use computer speakers that do not resonate throughout the entire multipurpose room. We only have one microphone that is falling apart.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are caring and very creative. Despite their communities and our school being a Title I School, students are working hard to progress everyday. In music class, we also have many ELL's, but because music is universal, they are able to understand, follow along, and have fun!
The majority of my students come from low-income households.
They are not always awarded the same experiences or materials as other communities. I am looking to help change that any way that I can.
My Project
Our school is Title I and filled with over 1,000 students. Our sound system has not been upgraded in years and we only have one microphone which has now fallen apart. This sound system would help our performances tremendously! We would be able to have our music and sounds resonate throughout the entire multi-purpose room!
In my music department, our largest performance/event is called 'International Festival,' which takes place toward the end of May.
We have a full performance celebrating all the continents and different cultures our school represents. We play music, the students dance (they have rehearsed routines), and sing many songs in many different languages. Having a reliable, working sound system would help our school tremendously. Every year we struggle to have proper sound quality. My students deserve it for all the hard work they put in!
