My Project
Reading is at the heart of learning, but for many high school students, the books they encounter in class can feel outdated or disconnected from their lives. I want to change that. I would like to purchase class sets of current, relevant books that speak to students' experiences, spark their curiosity, and, hopefully, deepen their love for reading.
These newer titles will not only capture students’ interest—they’ll also help us meet rigorous state standards in literature and critical thinking.
By offering more relatable and diverse stories, we can foster richer discussions, stronger comprehension, and a more inclusive learning environment.
Your donation will help ensure that every student has a book in hand and a reason to be excited about reading. Let’s give our students literature that reflects the world they live in—and shows them the power of their own voices.
