it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting copies of this novel to read with my English Language Development students. It is relevant to their lives and will engage them in the reading process. It is very important to capture their interests at a critical time in their language, specifically reading development. I know that when I put a book in front of teens that they connect to, I am building reading habits. I have to intrigue them before I can make them life-long readers. This novel does both of those things, intrigues and improves reading skills simultaneously.
