This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach an amazing and creative group of Title I students. They are so passionate about trying new things and pursuing skills that will give them a fighting chance to take life into their own hands. They strive for success, despite the adversity of their situations outside of school, and want to give back to others. I would like to create a relevant and engaging classroom library for my students. I want my classroom library to have resources that will provide my students with awesome ideas that will spark their creativity!

My Project

My students all complain about reading. In general, they struggle with reading and writing. I would love to break that barrier of contempt and provide my students with art books that are relevant and beautifully designed to influence my students choices, as they create.

The books that I have selected are middle school savvy and cover various art mediums, to address all types of students' interest.

I have a passion for reading and I would like to continue to help my students grow and choose books that help them grow and understand their world. I can't wait to use these amazing resources to challenge my students!
