My Students
My students are 5th grade pioneers in technological and educational innovations. They are willing to learn and try new things.
My students are involved in a Spanish dual immersion program.
They spend half of their day learning in English, and the other half learning content in a classroom that speaks Spanish only.
The students in our school district currently have a 1:1 ratio of laptops and encourages the use of innovative technology in our instruction. Our school is in a low-income area (Title I).
My Project
Kids need to be kids! They have the energy of a one year old puppy but are told to sit for long periods of time in the classroom.
Flexible seating allows students to rock, wiggle, lean, and burn away all of their extra energy.
As the students burn their energy, they will be able to focus on the content areas and learn in a much more efficient way. There is also a big factor of fun that is introduced with these materials that will be rewarding for the students as well as enjoyable.
