My Students

I have an incredibly diverse group of twenty-five, highly energetic, sometimes impulsive youngsters in second grade. They all have amazing personalities and almost every one of them is excited to learn new things every second of each day. It would be an honor to be able to provide these materials for them in order to foster and encourage a love of learning in all of my students. After online learning for a year, we are trying to make up for lost time in the classroom and this transition has been very difficult for some of us.

My Project

If my project is funded, then my students will have a relaxing and intriguing area to come to for reading groups and math groups. Right now, we do not have enough chairs to leave at the small group table, so students often have to bring their own chair over when they come to meet with the teacher. This would help to make reading and math more exciting and relaxing for these second graders! I have also included some pre-sharpened pencils and incentives to help make a day full of transitions, move a lot more smoothly (and relaxing)!
