My Project
Having a comfortable space is essential when trying to support kids' social-emotional wellbeing and growth. When a space is inviting and warm, it becomes easier for anyone to open up and feel safe.
Feeling safe and comfortable is imperative to building trust, which is the foundation of the work I do.
Creating a safe space is valuable to the entire school community, as I aim to support not just students but staff.
I plan to use these materials to provide alternative and comfortable seating for students. They will be able to sit in the floor seats and on the balance ball seats, which both can aid in regulating students. This will help them relax and re-enter their classroom ready to learn. Additionally, having a rug will create comfortability and add warmth to my office, which will make it more inviting to both returning and new students.
