My Project

I love the awe and wonderment of our youngest learners. They are creative, playful, and intelligent on multiple levels. I would like to create an environment in their classroom that is conducive to calm and comfort while sparking their creativity.

I would like to add a cozy library corner, floor cushions, organizational materials, and gentle decor that is cohesive and creative, but not overstimulating.

I love the calm of the mountains and the peacefulness of the forest and want to bring some of the self-centering effects of nature into the classroom.

When I first got into teaching I was gathering materials however I could get them, resulting in a hodgepodge. While I tried my best to create a fun environment, the results were not ideal. These materials are now worn and incomplete. I want to create a serene and cohesive environment that aligns with my gentle and calm teaching style.
