Help me give my students the confidence in their reading abilities by allowing them to practice and reinforce skills already learned through the interactive literature and writing games and the chart stand.
I serve low income students in the Charlotte, NC area. These children do not have the adequate resources to help them reach to their highest potential. Many of these students come from home environments with no books or literacy resources.
My students love learning.
We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!
My Project
The skills learned with the literacy games will allow students to be successful in reading fluency and comprehension and will help them to be able to think more critically when they access complex texts.
My students love to be hands-on with their learning.
They love interactive games and this will help reinforce skills they may have missed during whole group instruction. The games will be used during small group time. The vocabulary and context clues games will give students time to practice one of the power standards in 3rd grade. The students also love to show their learning to the class and will be able to do so with the rolling chart, whether it is in a whole group or small group.
We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of literacy throughout the school year.
