Help me give my students access to quality and up to date literature.

My Students
I absolutely love me job and my students! They are fun, creative, and curious about the world around them. Being in a very rural area, it can be hard for students to access quality reading materials from local libraries since the nearest is 20 miles away from our small community. Our school library struggles because we do not have a certified librarian on staff. It is hard to keep up with the trends and what is relevant to our students and their current lives.
Many of my male students are interested in literature about wars.
I also have several students that love graphic novels and Anime. Apparently Anime is all the rage right now! I would love to be able to provide them with access to quality and current text selections here at school!
My Project
I am wanting to implement more book club type lessons in my classroom. Several students reading related texts will conference and discuss common themes and ideas from the books they are reading. I am also building in time each day for sustained silent reading to improve students' access to quality literary texts.
By providing them with current and high interest book selections, I am hoping to spur a movement of reading is both learning and entertaining.
My goal is to get students selecting their own books to read and continuing on the practice of sustained silent reading into their lives outside of school as well.
I want them to reimagine what reading is and in turn, reimagine the world around them.
