This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Your gift will allow my students to learn the skills to remain calm, regulate their emotions and maintain their focus during the day. When they are calm and comfortable, they are able to express their emotions and thoughts more clearly and effectively. Learning these valuable skills will not only help my students today, but every day for the rest of their lives. These calming strips will allow my students to not only utilize them in counseling, but to take them back to class where they will continue to remain focused and engaged! These colorful timers will allow for a smooth transition between activities, or back to class!
