This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am inspired to create a station, for boys and girls, to go to if they need any sort of hygiene products.

I want it to be an open, safe space for my students to address their individual personal needs without always having to get a pass to go to the nurse.

Supplies such as deodorant, mouthwash, or a toothbrush with tooth paste are needed.Asking a teacher for deodorant, or admitting they need any help at all can be embarrassing. But with these separate stations, my students can feel empowered to take care of themselves without any fear or shame. Normalization is key!
