This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm so excited for the school year to start! Every year I get an incredible new group of 6th graders from many different backgrounds. Some have lived in Brooklyn their whole lives, while others have just moved here from all over the world. But what they all share is curiosity and an eagerness to learn and grow when given the right environment and tools to do so. That is why I need to replace several of the science and other learning materials that we used up last year.

These materials will give the students opportunities throughout the year to learn through discovery in a colorful and clean environment.
