This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

So many of our students are needing to take mental health breaks. Many students are not always comfortable verbalizing how they are feeling. I have found that though they appreciate an adult available to talk with them about how they are feeling something they just need a moment to express their feelings in a non verbal way. Having an iPad available, in a quiet corner, so they may refocus their energy or anxiety by doing a puzzle, listening to music, drawing or journaling would be extremely helpful.
