My students are all new to chorus class, following the pandemic. Since they just came back from virtual classes, this is their first time being in a middle school chorus program.Their experiences with singing come from a variety of backgrounds. For some, singing with people is exciting! For others, it's a new but scary experience. They exude such wander when they hear certain sounds and music and it motivates them to look beyond the surface. Despite their differences, the most inspiring characteristic about them is their curiosity to learn and create through singing!
My Project
Our choir program at our school is continuing to expand. As we continue to grow, each class has began to develop their own unique specialty in vocal music making. Because of this, the students have taken an interest in learning a variety of music that include solo music making and more! These shelves will give us the opportunity to organize the students' music and make it more accessible to them. This will also grant the students a sense of responsibility to keep their music organized. The mics will aid in amplifying those students who are interested in solo singing.
