My Students

There are students in our city, and surrounding counties, who have everything they need. There are students on the other end of the spectrum that are lacking basic supplies. My school, much like our city, is a diverse and creative community from all walks of life.

I am proud to be a librarian at a school with students who can learn from one another’s cultural and socio-economic differences and family make-up.

My school embraces and welcomes all families, making it a true neighborhood school. Our parents give of themselves, our teachers and administration are good people, and our students are our passion.

My Project

The pandemic has been very hard on the library. When we left in March of 2020, we sent the students with extra books to read over what we thought would be a few weeks. All last year we were virtual. We all are happy to be back in the building this year, but unfortunately, many of the books did not make it back to school.

These books will ignite curiosity and continue the love of reading and learning!

Our library shelves need to be refilled with many of the popular books that the students love to read. The students are excited to be back and are excited to read books from the Library again!
