We are in an urban district and my students come from a wide range of backgrounds.
They go from having very little knowledge of music or playing a band instrument to being able to perform in a full ensemble in a matter of months. I have the privilege of being able to teach most of my students over the course of their three years of middle school.
My Project
Our students need reeds to be able to fully participate in class. When a reed breaks, that means students are no longer able to play their instruments until they get a new one. For some families, reeds aren't part of their budget, so the school has been supplying reeds this year.
Students need high-quality reeds to make the best possible sound on their instruments!
When students sound great, they want to keep playing. Having these reeds available for students to use will ensure they can do their very best.
