This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are 21st-century learners who are eager to use all of the technology available to them! I teach 30 curious fourth-grade scientists in a small, Title I school that has an amazing and supportive principal.

My students are eager to learn and their brains are sponges that absorb any and all information given to them.

Everything is a potential investigation or experiment to them, so I strive to provide my students with as many learning and project-based opportunities as possible. I constantly enhance the school curriculum and students' intrinsic motivation to learn more by infusing STEM correlations whenever possible.

Because of our small school size, funding levels are not as high as other schools in our area. Grants and projects like this one become an integral part of how I obtain resources to supplement learning experiences. I truly believe that the future lies in our children. They have virtually unlimited potential, and my job is to enable them to reach it.

My Project

There are times when having round tables are wonderful because most of the time we learn by hands-on activities in groups! My students work in collaborate groups for science experiments, projects, art activities, review games, and much more! Transitions from one group to another can be chaotic and noisy sometimes when the desks rub against the floor. The students' attention can quickly be drawn to the desk noise and marks on the floor causing them to lose focus and excitement not to mention the distraction it must cause for the classroom under mine!

Having Fuzzy Feet chair glides on each chair will make it easy for my students to move into other learning groups without any noise or scuff marks to worry about!

They are durable and last all school year! This is a necessary solution for easy transitions and will keep our floors looking new and shiny long into the school year.
