My Project
I am looking to add more weighted blankets to my classroom. I have a preschool special education classroom and many of my students seek sensory input. Nap/Rest time can be difficult for these sensory seekers as they can not rest their bodies well. These blankets provide sensory input to help relax their bodies.
With restful sleep comes a greater ability to learn!
When my students are able to rest better, they wake up from nap refreshed for our afternoon lessons and activities. Nap time allows my students the chance to recharge and focus.
My classroom is a self-contained classroom for students with delays and disabilities. I serve students ages 3-5 and have a wide variety of skills and abilities. No matter their needs, they love sensory items and weighted blankets are always a fan favorite!
