This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kindergarten students are enthusiastic young scholars that currently attend my zoom class every day ready to engage in hands on learning activities.
My students come from working families that are making every effort to support their children during the pandemic.
They are active participants that engage in hands on learning activities on via zoom. My students are eager to learn and share with their peers on the web. Although they are making the best of the current situation it is evident that they are all anxiously looking forward to meeting each other in the classroom.
My Project
Once kindergarten students officially set foot on campus the individual desks will allow them to have a smoother transition in the classroom. Individual seating will remove the added stress of keeping their distance from classmates. The individual seating will provide a reassurance that they can maintain their own personal space while still being in a classroom with peers. The individual seating will allow for new norms to be implemented while still providing kinder students the ability to be engaged with their peers. All students can feel equal to one another without being left out or isolated since they will all have an individual desk.
