My Project
My students are passionate, creative, and eager to apply engineering and design skills to real-world projects. They thrive when given opportunities to work with their hands, problem-solve, and create meaningful items that benefit our school community. Their enthusiasm for learning is inspiring, and I want to provide them with the tools they need to bring their ideas to life.
This project will allow my students to engrave cork coasters with our campus logo as gifts for teachers during Red Ribbon Week.
By using a laser engraver, they will gain hands-on experience with design software, precision manufacturing, and material science—essential skills in engineering and technology fields. These resources will help students understand the practical applications of their coursework while fostering creativity, teamwork, and school spirit.
My goal is to give students a learning experience that connects engineering principles with real-world applications. By creating customized coasters, they will see the impact of their work and take pride in contributing to our school culture. Additionally, this project promotes an appreciation for educators and encourages students to give back to their community.
What makes my students special is their dedication and willingness to learn new skills. Many come from diverse backgrounds and may not always have access to advanced technology. Providing them with these resources ensures they gain valuable experience that prepares them for future careers in engineering, design, and manufacturing.
