This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In Arizona, many of our students were quarantined for nearly a year, due to Covid-19. Because of this, many of our new middle school students have lost their enjoyment of science, which has set them behind in their academics. It has been extremely difficult to encourage my students to love to study science again because we don't have enough science sets in our classroom. Diversity is number one in my classroom, and having a wide range of science options as a class will spark the enjoyment of science in my middle school science classroom because the students will be able to make connections with the environment in these experiences.

My goal as a Science teacher this year is to encourage diversity in my classroom, enjoyment for science, and most of all bring my student up to their scientific interest, which will be easier to accomplish having full experiment options readily available in my classroom

My students will use the recycling sets to work in small groups, whole-class projects, and using the materials such as science kits, and other materials to create vivid presentations.
