My Project
As a Media Specialist, I am in charge of teaching all the students in our building Library Media classes once a week. We started our Recycled Car Derby Race Program in our Library to celebrate Earth Day last year. We started it with our 1st to 3rd Grade students. Students and parents got involved in creating and designing their recycled cars. It was so successful that other grade levels want to participate this year.
With the requested materials we can provide medals and trophies to our Recycled Car Derby Race winners and celebrate the race event by giving snacks to our students who will watch and participate in the program.
STEAM lessons from Teacher-Pay Teachers will be conducted to prepare students to plan their cars.
Students will be excited and thrilled to do these activities and projects because the supplies are readily available. My students will definitely be so eager to go to the library and ready to participate. These materials will definitely improve the quality of their finished work.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
