My students need recycling bins to recycle classroom paper, a recycling ball to explain the importance of recycling, and dry erase boards to use and reuse.

My Students
In second grade we use a lot of paper. We use it to write math problems on, draw art during recess, and practice handwriting. During a class discussion about reducing, reusing, and recycling we came up with the idea of using classroom dry erase boards to reduce our paper use.
In some cases it is impossible, without the use of more technology, to eliminate our paper use.
In this case we would like to recycle the paper that we must use. We would do this through the use of a recycling bin collection system. I have also asked for the recycling education ball to better educate my students about recycling.
My Project
It is the responsibility of all citizens to help maintain our natural resources and protect our environment. I want to help my students become responsible citizens in order to protect the future of their world. By educating the students and giving them the proper materials I will help them become lifelong environmental protectors.
As an environmentally conscious person I understand the importance of reusing and recycling.
I want to teach my students to recycle and use materials that can be reused many times rather than using many disposable things that create large amounts of waste.
