How can we involve our students in an effort to help save the rainforests? By having them recreate the rainforests right in our school!
Our second grade students are passionate about our community...now we want to help them develop that same passion for other parts of the world.
Our public school in Illinois is embarking on a school-wide study focused on ways to "Save our Earth!" In second grade, we have narrowed our focus to saving our rainforests and the vital contributions they make to our planet.
My Project
With the vividly colored tissue papers and paint, we will be able to recreate the rich, vibrant environment uniquely found in the rainforests. The students will learn to appreciate the brilliant plant and animal life, as well as the great contributions rainforests make to our planet.
While a field trip to a rainforest is impossible, a deep appreciation can still be fostered through our recreation.
By donating to our project, you will give us the means to create a stunning replica which will foster a life-long love and appreciation for our Earth's rainforests!
