My Students
Hear our Roar! Feel our Pride! That the Royalwood motto. Royalwood is a title 1 school district. My students are the most caring hard working students. They go above and beyond, willing to accomplish anything. My students are devoted and are wanting to learn everyday. Even though we are going through ruff times, I know they will come with a smile. Our mission is to become great readers by the end of the year. My students will thrive to succeed.
My Project
My books were the most important items that I had in my classroom for my students. Unfortunately, because of the phenomenon Hurricane Harvey my most precious and valuable teaching tools were damaged (my books). I have been buying books for the past four years in order to teach certain reading components strategies. These book I would use in whole group lessons. For example, I would do a read aloud for entertainment for my students or I would use it to teach for example author's purpose, inference, bulding comprehension, making real world connections, writer's craft for writing. After the lesson or modeling reading strategies the purpose is for the students to apply it during independent/buddy reading. The most important part is getting the students to meet or surpass the grade reading level by the end of the year. In order for my students to succeed in math, science, social studies, especially writing we have to go back to literacy(reading) because without reading the other components won't fall into place. My mission is for my students to build their fluency and comprehension. With your help and support I know we can make my students become extraordinary readers.
