Recording Vocals in a GYM!

Help me give my students the ability to create echo-free recordings in our gym/classroom by using a vocal booth!

My Students

I teach in a low-performing urban district. Although many of my students have not regularly been served a diet of vocal and instrumental music that contains anything complex, when given the tools, my students have a surprising level of untapped, raw musicianship. I love working alongside these young musicians!

My Project

Take a look at the picture of my classroom that used to be a gymnasium. Have you ever tried to record vocals and instrumentals in a gymnasium? There is so much reverb and background noise that the students projects are far from ideal.

With an isolation booth in the classroom, my students can record cleaner audio recordings.

They will finally feel their resonance within the room to record more confident, professional sounding audio projects.

They will use the booth to sing strong vocals that sit on top of the mix, voice overs, and Foley.
