My Students

My band room is a place where students come to enjoy playing and making music. More importantly than that, they get to learn lifelong lessons of teamwork, friendship, and the importance of reaching and obtaining your goals.

A vast majority of our student population receives free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch.

The district is in a mid to high poverty area.

Although my district gives its fair share of funds to music, they just can't provide everything my students need to thrive in the classroom. I am always looking for opportunities to give them the quality materials and instruments they deserve.

My Project

Our band is in the unique situation this year where we won't be able to perform concerts in front of a live audience. In order to still perform this year, we will be doing virtual concerts.

We need a quality recording microphone for posting virtual performances.

We're lucky enough to have an iPad Pro for recording quality video, but iPad audio still has a way to go for improving sound recording. This microphone will be able to plug directly into our iPad so that we're able to record and produce quality sound with our videos.
